Delete your SnowStory account
Fastest way: in the app
- Open SnowStory and go to Settings → Delete My Account.
- Confirm the deletion. Your account is deactivated immediately — you are signed out and the account can no longer be used.
- Signed in with Apple? Deleting in the app also asks Apple to remove SnowStory's access to your Apple ID.
No access to the app?
Email support@snowstory.app from the address you use to sign in, with the subject "Account deletion request." We will verify it's you and process the deletion, confirming by reply within 30 days (usually much sooner).
Don't know your sign-in address, or used Hide My Email? Write from any address with your display name and squad name and we'll verify. Parents: email us to delete a child's profile.
What happens when you delete
- Immediately: your account is disabled and unusable.
- 14-day grace window: if the deletion was a mistake, contact support@snowstory.app within 14 days and we can restore the account. After the window, deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
- Deleted after 14 days: profile, avatar, SnowSelfies, device links, sign-in identity, email preferences, and your record at our payments processor.
- Kept without your name: points and captures in your squad's history.
- Kept for safety: reports you filed or that concern you, the record of any spectator invitations you made or received, and the consent record for any managed member you added. Backups roll off within 90 days.
- Kept with your account ID and no name: purchase records and the moments your squad completed together.
- Managed members: deleting a squad leader's account also deletes every managed member it created, children and adults alike. Their rides stay in the squad's history under a number, without their name or picture. From a managed member's card in the squad roster, the leader can also delete their riding record and keep them in the squad, or remove them, which deletes their profile right away.
- Kept elsewhere: purchase and billing records live with Google Play / the App Store under their policies. Remember to cancel any active subscription in your app-store settings — deleting your SnowStory account does not cancel a store subscription.
